Position: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Reporting To: The Chairman & Managing Director
Industry: Technical & Creative Education / Skill Development / Franchisee Management
Scope of Operations: Entire Kerala State, Job Location: Trivandrum
Travel: As and When Required
Role Summary
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for providing strategic, operational, academic,
financial, and governance leadership to the institution. The role involves managing multiple
branches and franchisee centers, ensuring academic excellence, regulatory compliance, brand
consistency, and sustainable growth across Kerala.
The CEO acts as the principal executive authority, accountable to the Board for overall
performance, profitability, and institutional reputation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic & Business Leadership
Define and execute the institution’s vision, mission, and long-term growth strategy.
Drive expansion through company-owned centers and franchise models.
Prepare and implement annual business plans, budgets, and growth forecasts.
Identify new opportunities in:
o Technical education
o Creative & digital skill programs
o Franchise development
o Government skill initiatives and industry collaborations
Ensure scalability while maintaining academic and service quality.
2. Academic Governance & Quality Assurance Provide strategic oversight for academic frameworks, curriculum development, and
certifications.
Ensure programs align with:
o Industry requirements
o Skill development standards
o Emerging technologies and creative trends
Oversee faculty standards, training, and performance.
Monitor academic outcomes including:
o Student performance
o Completion rates
o Placement & employability metrics
Promote blended learning, LMS adoption, and continuous curriculum upgrades.
3. Multi-Branch Operations Management
Oversee operations of all company-owned branches.
Establish and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across centers.
Monitor branch-wise KPIs:
o Admissions & revenue targets
o Operational efficiency
o Student satisfaction & retention
Conduct periodic performance reviews and operational audits.
Ensure uniform brand experience across all locations.
4. Franchisee Management & Control
Design, implement, and manage the franchise business model.
Approve franchisee onboarding, agreements, renewals, and exits.
Ensure franchisee compliance with:
o Academic standardso Branding & marketing guidelines
o Operational SOPs
Develop franchise support systems including:
o Training & academic resources
o Marketing assistance
o Technology platforms
Address franchise disputes, escalations, and corrective actions.
5. Financial Management & Statutory Oversight
Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and cash flow management.
Monitor revenue streams including:
o Tuition fees
o Franchise fees & royalties
Ensure financial discipline, cost optimization, and profitability.
Approve capital expenditure and infrastructure investments.
Review audits, MIS reports, and statutory filings.
Ensure compliance with Indian tax laws and corporate regulations.
6. Sales, Marketing & Brand Protection
Lead institution-wide sales and marketing strategies.
Oversee student admissions, franchise sales, and digital marketing.
Strengthen brand positioning in technical and creative education segments.
Build partnerships with:
o Corporates
o Schools & colleges
o Government skill missions
Protect and enhance institutional brand value and reputation.7. Human Resources & Leadership Development
Recruit, develop, and lead the senior management team.
Strong and effective leadership to the entire organization. This includes setting the
corporate culture, values, and ensuring that employees are aligned with the
company's mission.
Establish performance management and succession planning.
Promote ethical practices, accountability, and innovation.
Oversee faculty recruitment, development, and retention strategies.
Resolve escalated HR and disciplinary matters.
8. Compliance, Governance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with:
o Companies Act, 2013
o Franchise laws and agreements
o Labour laws and statutory requirements
o Education and skill development regulations
Liaise with regulatory bodies, accreditation agencies, and authorities.
Identify and mitigate academic, financial, operational, and reputational risks.
Maintain transparent governance and reporting to the Board.
9. Technology & Digital Transformation
Oversee implementation of ERP, LMS, CRM, and MIS systems.
Promote digital admissions, assessments, and student engagement platforms.
Ensure data security, system scalability, and technology integration across centers.
10. External Relations & Representation
Act as the official spokesperson of the institution. Represent the organization before:
o Government bodies
o Industry associations
o Accreditation agencies
Strengthen industry linkages for internships, projects, and placements.
Other Requirements:
Board Relations: Report to Chairman & Managing Director and is responsible for
keeping them informed about the company's performance, strategy, and major
decisions, seek the board's approval for certain actions.
Talent Management: Attracting, developing, and retaining top talent for company's
success and setting the talent strategy. Ensure the organization has the right people in
the right positions
External Relations: Represent the company to other educational and institutions,
universities etc, involve public speaking, media interactions, and building relationships
with other industry leaders and organizations
Compliance and Ethics: Ensure that the company operates within legal and ethical
boundaries, compliance with regulations, industry standards, and a commitment to
corporate social responsibility.

Qualifications & Experience
Postgraduate qualification in Management / Education / Technology or related field. Minimum 10 years of senior leadership experience, preferably in:
o Education
o Training
o Skill development
o Franchise-based organizations
Proven experience managing multi-location operations in India.
Authority & Decision-Making
Final authority on operational, academic, and franchise matters within Board-
approved limits.
Authorized signatory for agreements, partnerships, and major expenditures as per
Board approval
Power to appoint, appraise, and disengage senior staff and franchisees as per policy
and Board approval.
