Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer – Solar to join our team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in solar PV system design and strong knowledge of electrical design, drawings, system sizing, and design optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop Solar PV systems based on project requirements.
- Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and detailed electrical drawings.
- Perform string sizing and cable sizing calculations.
- Select suitable inverters and other electrical components.
- Coordinate with the structural/design team for solar structure requirements.
- Prepare technical proposals and design documentation.
- Review project requirements and ensure designs comply with applicable standards.
- Optimize system designs for performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate with project and engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
Required Skills & Software
- AutoCAD – Required
- PVsyst – Required
- Helioscope – Preferred
- MS Excel – Required
- Strong understanding of Solar PV system design and electrical engineering.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prepare accurate technical drawings and documentation.
Eligibility
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Solar Design.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in PV system design, SLD, sizing, and inverter selection will be preferred.
