Job Description: Network Engineer Designation: Network Engineer – Infrastructure, Security & Presales Experience: Minimum 3 years Location: India (Fully Remote / Work From Home) Employment Type: Full-Time Industry: IT Systems Integration / Networking & Cybersecurity Markets Supported: Egypt & North Africa Travel Requirements: No travel required Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Network Engineer to provide remote technical and presales support for networking and cybersecurity projects across Egypt and North Africa. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting enterprise networking and security products, particularly Cisco and Fortinet solutions. The role also involves reviewing customer RFQs/RFPs, identifying suitable products, preparing Bills of Materials (BOM), technical quotations, and Proforma Invoices (PI). This is a fully remote position based in India, with all customer coordination and technical support provided remotely. Key Responsibilities 1. Network & Security Technical Support Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, and Fortinet firewalls remotely. Support VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs, NAT, firewall policies, and access control lists. Provide remote assistance to onsite teams during installation, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting. Resolve network connectivity, security, and performance issues. Maintain network configurations, diagrams, and implementation documentation. Assist with firmware upgrades, configuration backups, and basic network security administration. 2. Presales & Commercial Support Review customer RFQs, RFPs, and technical specifications. Identify suitable networking and security products, models, licenses, and accessories. Prepare accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) with OEM part numbers and quantities. Assist in preparing customer quotations, Proforma Invoices, and technical proposals. Coordinate with sales teams, vendors, distributors, and OEM representatives. Verify product compatibility, licensing requirements, and solution completeness. Recommend technically suitable alternatives when required. 3. Project Coordination Coordinate with project managers, sales engineers, and onsite implementation teams. Support technical discussions, project planning, and remote implementation. Track assigned technical tasks and ensure timely delivery of presales and project support. Maintain clear communication and documentation across remote teams. Required Skills & Qualifications Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in networking, cybersecurity, or IT systems integration. Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, and Fortinet FortiGate firewalls. Knowledge of routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, NAT, firewall policies, and network troubleshooting. Ability to review technical requirements and identify appropriate networking and security products. Experience preparing BOMs, technical quotations, and presales documentation. Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
