Job summary :
A Sales Manager in a large retail textile group is responsible for achieving sales targets, improving customer satisfaction, managing showroom sales operations, and leading the sales team across departments or branches. The role focuses on maximizing revenue, ensuring excellent customer service, controlling sales performance, and implementing sales strategies to increase business growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets of the showroom/group.
• Lead, supervise, and motivate sales executives and department staff.
• Monitor daily sales performance, conversion ratio, and customer footfall.
• Ensure excellent customer service and customer relationship management.
• Plan and implement promotional activities, seasonal sales, and marketing support.
• Coordinate with purchase, merchandising, warehouse, and accounts departments.
• Analyze sales reports, fast-moving and slow-moving stock, and market trends.
• Maintain proper visual merchandising and product display standards.
• Handle customer complaints and ensure quick resolution.
• Monitor staff discipline, grooming, attendance, and productivity.
• Train sales staff on product knowledge, selling techniques, and customer handling.
• Ensure proper stock availability and minimize stock loss/shrinkage.
• Support branch expansion and business development activities when required.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
• MBA in Marketing/Retail Management preferred.
Experience Required
• 5–10 years experience in textile or retail sales operations.
• Minimum 3–5 years experience in a supervisory or managerial role in a large retail showroom/group.
