Qualification: B.Arch. or • Diploma • Design & Creative Skills • Understanding how spaces feel and function • Turning ideas into workable designs • Aesthetics & creativity • Sketching & visualization Technical Knowledge • Building construction: Materials, methods, and structural basics • Building codes & regulations (important in India—local municipality rules) • Climatology & sustainability: Designing for ventilation, light, and energy efficiency • Structural coordination: Working with engineers • Software Skills: AutoCAD, SketchUp • Site analysis (sun, wind, surroundings) • Space planning and zoning • Functional layout design • Solving design constraints (budget, space, regulations) • Coordinating with clients, engineers, and contractors • Managing timelines and deadlines • Understanding project phases (concept → design → execution) • Basic knowledge of cost estimation & billing • Green building concepts • Energy-efficient design • Smart buildings and new materials • Accuracy in drawings • Proper dimensions and proportions • Compliance with safety and legal standards • Willingness for site visits
